| The island is home of three resorts that belong
to the largest on the Maldives and is located on the Rasdhoo
Atoll (north of Ari Atoll) approx. One hour boat trip from Male.
The Kuramathi Medical Center offers two German doctors all year
around that are taking care of guests, staff and inhabitants
of Kuramathi as well as the nearby islands Rasdhoo and Veligandu. |

| The Medical Center offers up-to-date medical
care, daily consultation hours and 24/7 emergency response.
The modern facilities include a DAN-certified recompression
chamber for diving accidents which is the biggest of the Maldives
and suitable for treatment of severe diving accidents requiring
intensive care. Further facilities are a small ward with ICU-ventilator,
X-Ray, ECG, Audiometry, Spirometry and surgical equipment. The
German doctors are supported by a chamber technician, one ore
two nurses and modern internet technology for easy consultation
of specialist backup. |
